Moved
Moved from Beetles.

Prioninae
maybe Mallodon, but I'm not terribly familiar with the group...

large beetle would be my best guess, too

Thanks
I needed a really good laugh, today

Mallodon
RLZ; check out M. dasystomus. (1) discusses pronotum being
only weakly narrowed anteriorly at margin and that the genal margin
near the mandible insertion is bituberculate (which w/big guy like
this is easily seen from a front lateral angle). They can also bite
and draw blood on careless fingers! Who said experience isn't a good
teacher!!!
