Another Speck Beetle

Another Speck Beetle
Alexandria, Fairfax County, Virginia, USA
May 28, 2012
Size: .6 mm
While I was taking photos of a jumping spider, I noticed this speck wandering across the surface of the table I was using, so I turned the camera on it. It wouldn't settle down, and this is the best shot I got of it.

Raynox DCR-250 lens on a Canon S5 IS.

Moved from Beetles.

Why thank you!
What a fascinating beetle! I kept it and will try for better photos with the other lens - will require chilling, as it would be impossible with the way it won't stop running.

excellent. emphasis on the ventral side: critical Dx features

Thanks -
I'll see what I can do.
