Wolf Spider - Pardosa lapidicina - female

Wolf Spider - Pardosa lapidicina - Female
Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA
August 27, 2004
This shot was taken just prior to molt. The pedipalps are slender in this individual identifying it as a female. After the molt, the pedipalps remained nearly unchanged...i.e. no sign of nascent palps as occurred with the males.
