green aphids with exuvia

green aphids with exuvia
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
June 1, 2012
Size: body 1.2 mm
on Ribes rubrum
I'm not sure if this is the same species as http://bugguide.net/node/view/650248; the two plants are about 5 m apart. The antennae length on some of these are maybe 5x the body length. There are lots of Camponotus noveboracensis on the leaf topsides of the Ribes, but the aphids are on the undersides and I don't see the ants directly tending them. There are no ants on the clematis.
