Thanks!
Thank you for taking the time to identify this. I had not seen one with a pattern like this.

Calvia spp. can have mixed patterns
It's pretty rare for multiple pattern variations to show up on the same beetle - this one is a combination of at least 3, the typical cream-spotted that's half-confluent with a bit of melanic red-spotted for good measure! I've seen C. 14-guttata with two patterns before, but never 3. Definitely an unusual and interesting beetle!

doesn't match any other Calvia spp. from Russia
Just found this page on Russian coccinellids, and none of the other Calvia spp. there looks like this. (Nor any other Tribe Coccinellini spp.)
http://www.zin.ru/ANIMALIA/COLEOPTERA/rus/atl_coc.htm
I've seen some really bizarre mixed-pattern C. 14-guttata before from North America, that's why this reads as C. 14-guttata for me.

wow! - I'll work on it!
It doesn't leap out at me as one of the native North American species, but could possibly be a variation of Calvia quatuordecimguttata. I'm going to check some Asian references and see if it looks like anything from Siberia.
