Dock Spider - Dolomedes scriptus

This had babies in a space between some rocks near the dock at our cottage. It's a fair size, close to the width of a baseball.

One of the Nursery web spiders
caring for her babies in a specially built nursery web. Probably one of the Dolomedes. Check in the guide there.

yeah it looks similar to some of the fishing spiders I've seen, but was one of the bigger ones around the area up there.
