Cicada killer with prey - Sphecius speciosus - Female
Port Republic, NJ, Atlantic County, New Jersey, USA

To add NJ to this species' range map. A small colony has existed at the local school playground for 10+ years. Males first emerged this year about 7/9/06; females digging nests 7/18; prey captured today. Fun to watch!
