Cicada killer male? - Sphecius speciosus

Cicada killer male? - Sphecius speciosus
Port Republic, NJ, Atlantic County, New Jersey, USA
July 12, 2006
Males were flying as of 7/9/06, about a week before females emerged, it seems. Spent much time chasing each other, other insects, and even falling leaves. First nests of females dug about 7/18/06.
