Not swarm. They stay in family herds. Fascinating creatures worth observing ... better than "Ant Farm," when I was a kid. Do you know what the tree is? Also, see my "Herd Reports" (C. venosus), for better understanding.

A herd, wow, never heard of insects doing that, though I have heard of ants herding aphids. I am afraid I do not know what tree, it was a fallen and decomposing log in the woods. A broadleaf tree is all I can say. Thanks, I will read up on them never even heard of this type of insect before.
