It's a sawfly!
I just finished reading on "What's That Bug" the comments that Eric Eaton had sent in. He wrote... "The specimen in question is a sawfly, and it looks to be in the family Argidae, if the last antennal segment is very long, as it appears here. Argids include one recently-introduced species currently found ONLY in Ontario, and this may be it."

Thank you Eric, for helping id this insect!!

You're welcome:-)
This is still a sawfly, but NOT Arge ochropa, as I had initially thought. Thank you for this submission, though, and we might still get a species ID at some point. Thinking it may actually be a female in the Diprionidae now, as the antennal segments look to be equal.

Hi Eric,

I've been doing some additional research and have found some images
that seem to match my specimen. Here is the link:
www.bioimages.org.uk/html/P5/P57202.php

The images I've found are of a male symphata, but that all they list it as.
