Size: Inch & a Half To 2 Inches
Possbly a flyer, though not a very good one, it's missing legs so maybe it's flying was effected, if it's not a flyer it's a looong jumper.
I heard this big guy land in my front yard with a hearty Pop sound he landed in a pile of leaves. very cool looking guy but I can't find anything even close to like him anywhere

Thought you might be interested to learn that he's a she. That horn-like thing at the end of the abdomen is an ovipositor (egg-laying device).
