On trail to Cedar Creek Falls, coming from Eagle Peak Road (about 1 mile from parking area), San Diego County, California, USA
June 1, 2012
Size: Large: ~ 9 mm
Swarming around their hole at around 8:30 am. Later, when the temps were much hotter, no ants were at the surface at this hole.
