Snipe Fly? - Rhagio mystaceus

Size: 1/4"
I see a similar fly on the ID request page. Hahn's Insects of the North Woods has a photo that looks very much like mine, Rhagio mystaceus (Hahn book spells it mystaceous). Are those spider webs on the fly abdomen?

This might not be the particular species mentioned in your field guide, but it is a snipe fly. Someone else will most likely bring it down to species.
