Geometrid Moth - Hypagyrtis - male

Geometrid Moth - Hypagyrtis - Male
Radford, Virginia, USA
June 9, 2012
Size: ~ 30 mm wingspan
Is this a geometrid moth? If so, what kind, please? If not, what is it?

Yes, a Geometrid for sure.
Looks like a Hypagyrtis - maybe H. piniata (see some of the photos on the Moth Photographers Group) - but don't know too much about moths in your area, so better wait for confirmation on species from someone who does!
