European earwig? - Forficula auricularia - Male

Size: About 1 cm long
I'm fairly certain this is a European Earwig, but would like to have that confirmed before I post it to the guide.
I'm also curious about the collection of small bumps on the specimen, just below it's head. See the 100% crop of the same image for more details (and click on the image for a larger version.)
