Permission request for images publication
Dear Nathan,

My name is Georges Pelletier, entomologist taxonomist working for the Canadian Forestry Service, Natural Resources Canada, Quebec City. I'm about to publish a virtual key to the Cantharidae (Coleoptera) of Northeastern America in the online journal CJAI (Canadian Journal of Arthropod Identification;
).

This publication should be out this spring and will contain 112 species. It will include interactive keys leading to species pages, which will include descriptions, discussions of variation, comparison with similar species, distribution maps, seasonality, habitats, specimen pictures and sometimes photos of live adults. However, I do not have my own images of living beetles and I am therefore requesting permission to use some images located on the web.

Pictures I am hoping to use from you include the following species: Rhagonycha imbecillis, that I have identified myself from this photograph. Can I have your permission to use your pictures in my publication free of charge? Your copyright will be recognized (it is the policy of CJAI that copyright always stays with the photographer) and the source will be appropriately credited. Emailed confirmation of your permission is required before I can submit the paper for formal review and publication. I would be most grateful if you would be willing to allow me to use your images for this purpose.

Yours sincerely! Happy New Year!
