Looks like an ichneumon wasp. Someone out there knows more!

 
Agreed.
It is indeed a female ichneumon wasp. The long "stinger" is actually her egg-laying organ (ovipositor), and she is harmless. Ichneumons are parasites of other insects. Wondering if your business is in wholesale wood products? If so, this could be an exotic species. Otherwise, just wandered in off the street, obviously:-)
