spider - Schizocosa - male

spider - Schizocosa - Male
Cross Plains, Dane County, Wisconsin, USA
June 13, 2012
I noticed that this spider had a black leg when I took the photo but thought it was just some debris at the time. Only when I was able to look at the photo on the computer did I notice that the leg was black. Too bad it was missing the other front leg. I think it's a Wolf spider -- Schizocosa sp.? I'm not sure what the dark object is in the back of the spider. Not sure if it was just some debris or if it was attached to the spider.

Moved from Spiders. That looks right to me too.

Yes, male Schizocosa
have similar leg patterns, but let's wait to hear what Lynette says.
