Id Request - Nicrophorus pustulatus

Id Request - Nicrophorus pustulatus
Ogemaw County, Michigan, USA
June 16, 2012
am curious to know if this unidentified insect is covered with parasites or young? I couldn't get a better angle of the insect to show it's head/antennae. It was roughly the size of a yellow jacket. My thought is parasites, as the insect seemed to be quite lethargic. It came to my MV light.
Thanks in advance for any info! :)

Moved
Moved from Sexton Beetles.

Nicrophorus sp.
Moved from ID Request. Those are phoretic mites, who just use the beetle for transportation.

very cool
thank you Brad- I learn something each time I head out to my moth sheets. Fascinating.

the two posterior elytral spots
dictates this is N. pustulatus
