Parasitic Flat Bark Beetle - Catogenus rufus

Parasitic Flat Bark Beetle - Catogenus rufus
Ballston Lake, Saratoga County, New York, USA
June 20, 2012
Size: ~ 5 mm
It was on a standing elm that's been dead a few years and lost all its bark. It crawled in and out of a little shot hole, and then into a crack in the wood. ID help appreciated.
