Hopper - Otiocerus degeeri

Hopper - Otiocerus degeeri
Deep Fork Wildlife Refuge, Okmulgee County, Oklahoma, USA
July 23, 2006
At first I thought, moth, then hopper, but it does not have the spined legs of a hopper.
However the abdomen with its ridges looks strange.
It reminds me of some of the tropical fish I kept as a child.

You Could Call It the Cichlid Hopper :-))

I was thinking more lyretail.

Nice find!
Reminds us of the derbid hopper - Otiocerus degeeri, in the guide here

Thanks, that looks like it.
