Golden Silk Spider - Trichonephila clavipes - Male Female

Size: ~ 4.5 cm (body)
This lovely lady has built a large web outside my kitchen window. This species is common in my yard and by this time of year the females are huge - body almost 2", end to end about 6". Male (top) is much smaller.
