Citrus Flatid Planthopper - Metcalfa pruinosa

Citrus Flatid Planthopper - Metcalfa pruinosa
Monona, Dane County, Wisconsin, USA
July 20, 2006
Not the best pictures, but it's all I could get. I looked through the pages of leafhoppers here and didn't see anything that seemed to match this. There aren't a lot of colorful markings, unlike some of the leafhoppers. The most distinguishing characteristic is the bright yellow eyes. The very bottom tips of its legs were the same color. This was in the back yard, hanging out at the raspberry patch. I'm uploading a second picture from the side, but am not sure if it's the same individual. There were several that I saw.
