Tiny Bug - Chinaola quercicola

Tiny Bug - Chinaola quercicola
Watertown, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA
June 27, 2012
Size: ~ 2 - 3 mm

Moved per T.J. Henry's offline communication
he's asking for voucher specimens to document these very important northern records: the bug hasn't been recorded outside Florida.
"Maybe this person will be able to return to where he photographed them. They should be on Juniperus virginiana!"

Moved from black-n-white thing from New England.

Thanks for the info...
I will look for them and try to collect one.

much appreciated, Peter.
exciting discovery! turns out, my early guess was correct after all... i've just seen it

Moved
Moved from Minute Pirate Bugs.

hmm...
with that distinctive pattern, looks kinda like an emaciated Chinaola quercicola(1), which doesn't belong in Mass., but who knows
