fruit fly? - Rhagoletis suavis

fruit fly? - Rhagoletis suavis
West Alexander, Washington County, Pennsylvania, USA
June 28, 2012
Size: 6mm
found on burdock, appears much smaller than the sunflower maggot, but similar in color...wings black and transparent white, body orange...not flighty and easy to photograph except for the strong wings, saved it in a bottle in my frig, in case it was something new... will let it go soon as I get the word to.. don't want to kill anything that's not necessary
