Tiger Moth???? - Arctia caja

Tiger Moth???? - Arctia caja
Irma, MD of Wainwright, Alberta, Canada
July 24, 2006
Found this moth on the deck at 07:10hrs and thought about it all day and was looking for a picture of it on the net. Came home and noticed that it only moved to the opposite side of the 4 x 4 post it was resting on. I was very fascinated and decided to take a picture and submit it.

Arctia caja (8166) Great Tiger Moth
This moth Arctia caja. I would like to get eggs someday so i could raise it.

Garden or Great Tiger Moth
Personally, I think it looks like a giraffe. See guide page here.
