True Bug - Deraeocoris

True Bug - Deraeocoris
Seattle, King County, Washington, USA
July 2, 2012
Size: 4mm
I found this bug on my Western Hemlock, Tsuga heterophylla. The Hemlock is infested with Hemlock Woolly Adelgids, Adelges tsugae, in case that information is useful.

I couldn't get a good shot of the entire body, so hopefull this series will be helpful.

It's a nymph
I'm not entirely sure what family though.

What about Deraeocoris?

That looks about right
I was thinking it was a mirid, but I just wasn't sure.

It wasn't in a good spot for photos
I marked immature, not sure why it isn't indicated.

I'll look through the guide...not sure if it will get an ID though.

I don't normally carry any containers with me. Maybe I should start. :)
