Apocephalus and carpenter ants - Apocephalus coquilletti - Female

Not a good image, but I'm including this one because it looks like the fly is ovipositing on the ant, or at least is interacting with the ant. I believe that the resulting egg looks like this:

And it looks like the fly is interacting at the same place on the ant's gaster where I saw what looks like a fly egg.
