Massachusetts spider - Agelenopsis

Massachusetts spider - Agelenopsis
10 miles north of Boston, Massachusetts, USA
September 4, 2004
I've been watching this spider through a window for about a month. It is very fast and quite aggressive toward a similar, smaller spider. I am happy to have spiders outside the house, but found my cats playing with a similar one inside, and thought I should verify its identity. It doesn't look like the spiders I am used to seeing around here.

funnel spider?
Looks like a funnel spider to me. Maybe agelenopsis?

Thanks
I found a large picture at http://encyclopedia.thefreedictionary.com/Grass%20spider
that looks very much like my spider.

I also can see the funnel shaped web distinctly now that I know what to look for.
