I think that this is actually Larra bicolor (see other images in bugguide, especially 83338 and 83339). Note the somewhat prominent ridges along the inner eye margins, which are hardly convergent above.

Nice images of a sphecid wasp in the genus Tachytes. Might be able to give you a species....eventually:-)
