Castilleja Plume Moth (Amblyptilia pica) - Lantanophaga pusillidactylus

The only member of its genus in North America, the Castilleja Plume Moth (aka Geranium Plume Moth) has larvae that feed on Indian Paint Brush and members of the Lamiaceae (mint family). Adults feed on the nectar of the blossoms and lay eggs within the inflorescences (here Mentha spiculata).
