Ceropales robinsonii - female

Ceropales robinsonii - Female
Ohio, USA
July 18, 1999
Size: 16 mm
This image isn't fantastic but it's good enough until someone gets a better shot of this uncommon species (hey, I didn't think anyone would ever photograph Notocyphus dorsalis). This is the oldest specimen I have ever seen that isn't a type specimen, it was taken 18 July 1899 and the only locality given was "Ohio". This specimen is from the Cincinnati Museum of Natural History.

The actual date is 1899
but the software doesn't accept that. Used 1999 so that we could at least get the right day and month.

Nick,
we should change your date to 18 July since that is when the specimen was captured even though it wasn't photographed then.
