I think this is a Northern Walking Stick - Diapheromera femorata....I wasn't sure, so I thought I would ask. According to the guide If the femurs are stiped then it is a male correct???

Actually, males and females are so radically different in appearance you can't get them confused. Males have swollen mid-femora, and very obvious claspers at the tip of the abdomen. Very slender, too. Females are larger and much heavier-bodied.
