It is a female Great Spangled Fritillary
Speyeria cybele.

Also looks like it got a little too close to a bird.

I thought about cybele and aphrodite, but the whitish spots around the wing margin kinda threw me.

Speyeria sp. (Atlantis Fritillary ?)
I think this might be a female Speyeria atlantis (Atlantis Fritillary), but there are other options and these are all very similar.
