Lacewing
Some kind of lacewing. They are carnivores, so don't be surprised if they are so ferocious.

 
Not quite - a lot bigger than a lacewing.
Looks more like a female Eastern Dobsonfly (below)

Thanks, I will post all the other very nice insects roaming my yard. I think this female had her start in life in my creek at the lower end of my property. I will post any new insects I come across.
