Very attractive Stethophyma female... - Stethophyma gracilis - Female
Kellys Bog, Kouchibouguac National Park, Kent County, New Brunswick, Canada
July 25, 2012
Almost sure this is a Stethophyma female...But, given its age and unfamiliarity with this species in general, I could not begin to guess which one it is of the two that occur in this bog. What an AMAZING colour pattern! I sure am going to be back looking for adults in the near future!

I looked more closely, and
the structure of the pronotum is more like S. gracile, and she looks a lot like the adult female already posted.

Moved from Stethophyma.

I'm betting on S. gracile
but I'm not 100% certain

Both gracile and lineatum occur in this bog...
And I caught a male S. gracile a few meters from this nymph and I have not yet seen S. lineatum to my knowledge (the least common of the two based on historical records). I will be returning to the site in the next few weeks more than once to try to see and learn more.
