Common Ringlet - Coenonympha tullia

Common Ringlet - Coenonympha tullia
Riley Wilderness Park, Coto De Caza, Orange County, California, USA
August 2, 2006

Moved
Moved from Common Ringlet.

An uncommon category
Thanks, Hartmut, for the ID, page and move.

I had wanted to take care of this
for some time. See also several new posts, both of the spring form with darker HW underside, as well as the paler summer/ fall form. Since they usually don't open their wings while perched you'd have to see the dorsal side of the wings in mounted specimens. (see the mariposasmexicanas link on the INFO page)
