I concur...
I was just determining some Kansas Ditemnus specimens using Green (1966) and the shape of the lateral pronotal modifications of this specimen are spot-on for D. latilobus. So far, this is the only species of this genus I've found here.

This is actually a soldier beetle, one of the seldom-observed kinds:-) Please check the guide pages, as I believe we have another image or two with a genus identification attached. Nice shot!

I'm not sure. I don't see ones that are really close to this. The side structures on the Pronotum are unusual too.
