Harvestmen? Shorter legs than daddy-long-legs - Eumesosoma

Harvestmen? Shorter legs than daddy-long-legs - Eumesosoma
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA
August 1, 2012
Size: half-dollar span
These are all over my house in the past couple of days. Only one body segment like a daddy-long-legs, but legs are shorter. They're climbing furniture, in my bed, my HAIR, everywhere. From all my internet research, I'm thinking (HOPING) they're a type of Harvest spider/bug? No, it's not a tick, definitely a spider/bug. Body is the size of a pencil eraser or a little larger.

Harvestman
Very cute! This is a harvestman - they're not actually spiders, but like them, are arachnids. They're completely harmless, btw.

LOL!
Not cute when they're crawling up your arm in bed or up the back of your neck in your favorite chair! lol. I'm very thankful they're harmless, though. I was bitten by a brown recluse 5 years ago and that was the sickest I've ever been - 6 full days of the worst body/muscle/bone aches and major-blah. Fortunately it didn't turn necrotic, but the ER interns got a good education on what the bite and progression looked like. :)

Harvestman, yes
Maybe something close to this one:

Welcome to BugGuide!

That's it!
That's it exactly! From my very state/region. Even though they don't bite and aren't venomous, I'm still having the exterminator visit. If they hadn't crawled on me twice (once in bed, once sitting in my favorite chair), I wouldn't be as creeped out **shudder**. There must be a nest here somewhere (**more shudders**) - I've killed about 20-25 of these just in the past few days - 8 yesterday and 2 today so far. BLEGH!!
