Caught this one in my butterfly garden sucking on a Gulf Fritillary caterpillar.

the two photos show two bugs individuals that not only look very different anything but are in fact members of different subfamilies, one 100% carnivorous, the other perfectly vegan.

Sorry, didn't know they were different. There must be hundreds of different species of insects in my backyard alone! Thanks for letting me know - I think I did the unlink correctly.

i would expect an average backyard in your area to harbor ca. 2,000 insect spp., if not thoroughly paved or treated with pesticides, that is :)
