Virbia rubicundaria (Hübner) - Virbia rubicundaria

Virbia rubicundaria (Hübner) - Virbia rubicundaria
Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, Travis County, Texas, USA
July 26, 2012
Det. Jen Zaspel, 2018

Moved
Moved from Virbia costata.

Jen Zaspel (author of the Virbia genus revision) agrees that this is most likely V. rubricundaria.

Thanks!
updated the name and det. Thanks again!

rubricundaria?
This looks more like rubricundaria to me. Costata is a species of the arid western parts of TX through NM and AZ, while rubricundaria is a smaller oranger species of eastern TX through Florida. You may be right near the border between these two species in Austin.
