beneficial insect
Tansy ragwort is a pastureland pest in Washington State. It produces an alkaloid toxin that poisons cattle and horses if consumed in enough quantity. This plant is an invasive, introduced from Europe. Cinnabar caterpillars eat the stuff; they're our friends.
