Orange Moth - Anisota virginiensis - male

Orange Moth - Anisota virginiensis - Male
Cedar Hill, Dallas County, Texas, USA
August 7, 2012
Size: 50 mm
Looks like the oakworm moth family, but I don't know how to distinguish them.

Anisota
I think this is A. virginiensis, a male. This is not A. stigma because of the presence of hyaline area on the forewings, and not A. senatoria because the lack of spotting. If this is A. virginiensis, as I believe it is, it would be listed as A. v. discolor in this guide, which is "subspecies" found in TX.
