Bidens-boring tortricid - Epiblema otiosana

Size: 9.5 mm
On 8/4/2012 I collected a Bidens stem with a big, irregular, knotty gall. This moth emerged from a slight swelling a few inches below the gall, and I think the gall was actually caused by a fungus or something else. I'll dissect it once the agromyzids stop emerging...
