Z. renardii?
This may be the leafhopper assassin bug, Z. renardii. I see virtually no evidence of any spines on the thorax, which should rule out Z. tetracanthus (although, according to the key I am using, Z. tetracanthus is the only species in Oregon, and the specimens I have from Portland have no spines, either). Placing on Z. renardii guide page for now. We probably need specimens to put under a microscope if we ever hope to have the identities of western specimens verified.

Thanks, Eric
I love it when an older post comes alive! While I realize this isn't the same as having a specimen in hand, I've added two more photos in hopes that they will help. I may also post a second individual, similar but different.

(written minutes later)
Ah, already posted it, but only one image. Have added more there.

The second one was photographed a few feet from the first, a couple of weeks earlier.
