Size: body length appr. 20 mm
If I had to make a tentative guess, maybe a wold spider, genus Hogna?

This is just a holding bin for similar spiders from the area. Still not sure what this is, it is similar to H. coloradensis/carolinensis though. Could still be something in another genus.

Moved from True Spiders. That's a beauty. I don't think it's a Hogna, but I don't have a suggestion right now. What's the habitat? Desert?

 
Sand Dunes
This is a somewhat isolated sand dune region and it does have some endemic arthropods. Mike Quinn has a nice summary of many of the beetles but I haven't found much on the spiders from there yet.
