Tick? - Reduvius personatus

Tick? - Reduvius personatus
Livingston, Park County, Montana, USA
August 12, 2012
Size: 3/8" long 1/8" at widest
Hid in a pile of clean laundry, bit my daughter when she got dressed, then ran to hide under something else. Assuming bite was defensive. Bite swelled like a mosquito bite, with a much larger entry wound, looked like a small blood blister on day 2. Did not get hot or burn, was not very itchy, but stung. Not poisonous, but looks rather like a tick, we think. Anyone know for sure?

Mantis boy - Thank you. Off
Mantis boy - Thank you. Off to inspect all mattresses for bed bugs, though hopefully he was just hunting earwigs...
Relieved to know what he is finally!

Masked Hunter nymph
