Black Widow Mama... - Latrodectus mactans - female

Black Widow Mama... - Latrodectus mactans - Female
Seminole, Seminole County, Oklahoma, USA
August 14, 2012
Mother of the spiderlings (I'm assuming... at least found in the exact same spot) posted a few days ago.

Also found in this exact spot was this widow

Maybe these images together will help to confirm whether these are northern or southern widows.

Moved to Latrodectus mactans - Southern Black Widow
Moved from Widow Spiders.

Moved to widows.
Moved from ID Request. I'd like to let widowman see these before moving to the species page, but I'd guess they're the same as the spiderlings.

sure are!
interesting how some mactans will look brown when extremely fat. cool pattern though. kind of variolus-esque.
