Agroiconota bivittata

Agroiconota bivittata
Henderson, Chester County, Tennessee, USA
August 2, 2012
Larva was found on Ipomoea lacunosa on 8/2/2012 and was kept in a jar with leaves from the same plant. I didn't notice when it pupated but on 8/17/2012 the adult beetle emerged. I've seen dozens of these larvae the past 2 years and it appears they don't build a fecal shield.
