Lucerne Moth - Hodges#5156 (Nomophila nearctica)? - Nomophila nearctica
Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Kings County, New York, USA
August 19, 2012
I *think* this is Lucerne Moth - Hodges#5156 (Nomophila nearctica). These were all over the garden today at a density of a few per square meter in many places. However I did notice they showed a lot of variation in pattern so perhaps I was looking at more than one species?

yes
Moved from Moths.
